Short Stories

The JPEG of Dorian Gray,a modern, short-story take-off on The Portrait of Dorian Gray, shows my fascination with technology. The original is still very readable. I just added a few twists of my own. Also available in the collection Things That Go Bump.

One Fish, Two Fish demonstrates one of the little-known benefits of writing. Divorce is disruptive and expensive. Marriage counseling takes way too long and does not guarantee results. Murder produces less than satisfactory results, unless you like solitary confinment. Fictional murder requires less effort and planning, and is almost as satisfying as the real thing. If you want real impact, leave the manuscript lying around for your spouse to find. Also available in the collection Things That Go Bump.

Collected Shorts and ThingsThat Go Bump are a pair of short story collections. Light reading, they cover a broad swatch of genres and subjects. Off we go to the beach!
